Stickers with Jobs is a passion project that brings real postage stamps from mine and my grandfather's childhood collections into the digital age, transforming static artefacts into a living digital collection. The project mixes nostalgia with modern motion design; vintage stamps depicting everything from wildlife to historical figures get subtle movements that play up their original subject matter. A bird ruffles its feathers, a ship rocks on waves, or a lighthouse shines in the night. These looping animations respect the original designs while adding something new and interactive. Beyond preserving family history, the project was a playground to develop illustration skills in Illustrator and animation skills in After Effects, exploring how a bit of movement can bring old objects back to life and connect different generations of design.
